Learning about Spanish Culture

LEAN IN organised a fun event on Tuesday 24th at Wayco Coworking in Calle Gobernador Viejo 29.

This was an informal meet up with a short presentation on the subject of Spanish culture and local customs. The aim was to present the written and unwritten rules in Spanish society in a fun, engaging way to those who are new to Valencia and Spain.

The talk was divided into 3 sections:
1.  Going Out (e.g. how to order a drink, getting attention, tipping, top 5 restaurants/bars)
2. Meeting New People (first meeting, neighbours, unwritten rules, saying yes and no)
3.  Business Culture (first meeting, punctuality, hierarchy, dress code)

There was time for Q&A afterwards.
