There’s an old sexist joke that says ‘Men drink beer; women wine’ (or whine), but of course the times are a-changing and the old stereotypes have given way to new and better ones.
Anabel Navas, director of the international beer brewer Bierwinkel, represented Valencia and Spain in Belgium for the elaboration of a special beer for International Women’s Day 2016.
Women from 20 countries including Cuba, Mexico, Holland, France, Great Britain and Belgium all conspired together to make a beer called Deliria, apparently the female version of the infamous dark brew Delirium Tremens.
The results can be seen and drunk responsible at Valencia’s modernist Mercado de Colón on March 8th, along with an exhibition about the event, which can be seen, but not imbibed.
