If you like your market served up, but still like to feel that you’re walking in the footsteps of Hemingway, who used to hang around here without his gun, then you’ll love the swank and opulence of Las Arenas, which means ‘The Sands,’ but didn’t have a casino last time I looked.
Founded in 1898, this 5 star hotel used to be a spa, but has been completely reformed to offer a wide variety of rooms and services.
The lobby bar and terrace offer unrivalled Mediterranean views while sipping the elaborate range of cocktails prepared by Ivan Martinez, Cocktail Champion of Spain.
The hotel still offers spa services, including Scottish shower, sauna, cold plunge pool, steam bath, ice fountain, aromatherapy shower, bubble beds, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi; and of course in summer there is the pool, with poolside bar and restaurant service.
And of course there are meeting rooms and spaces for the celebrations of all kinds of events, even weddings.
Las Arenas is at C/ Eugenia Viñes, 22-24.
