Ibán Ramón Fallas Poster Award
Ibán Ramón’s poster for the Fallas Festival of 2016 has been selected as one of the finalists of the European Design Awards (ED-Awards), which will be held in Oporto (Portugal) on 27th May.
The jury for this prestigious award is composed of Hödur Lárusson, Brandenburg publicity, Iceland, Camilla Buch, from the magazine CAP&Design; the consultant Geir A. Skomsoy; John L. Walters, editor of Eye magazine; Piso Van Essen, editor of Dude magazine, Dutch Designers Magazine; Davide Fornari from ADI (Industrial Design Association) and co-editor of Progetto Grafico magazine; Eduardo Bravo, a Spanish journalist and specialist; Peter Bankov, founder of Kak and Design Depot; Bettina Schulz, editor of Novum – World of Graphic Design; and Thierry Hausermann, founder of IDPURE.
Ibán Ramón’s international recognition has extended to other awards such finalist for the Laus awards, the Bienal Internacional del Cartel of Mexico and recognition in February 2017 by the Type Directors Club of New York with a ‘Certificate of Typographic Excellence.’
Ibán Ramón Rodríguez lives and works in Valencia and has been a professional designer since 1994. After working solo for a number of years, he created his own studio in 2001 specialized in editorial design, corporate identity and graphic communication. He combines his work as designer with the development of his personal projects, like his photographic series.
