flamingoslife: Plastic Shoes for Real People

In April 2015 flamingoslife was founded in Elche, Alicante by three friends who aimed to create a brand that shows summer as a way of life, blending urban tendencies with surfer philosophy.

Passionate about every free voice that screams, surfing, skateboarding, as well as art and nature, in flamingoslife they want to work with the idea of improving the society they live in with transparency, creating a direct, close relationship with customers.

Committed to animal rights, the environment and a sustainable economy, they control all processes in a rigorous way to offer the greatest of guarantees, using high quality raw materials.

Their latest example of social commitment and trend-setting is the launching of a new range of shoes made from discarded plastic bottles, and called Oslo Recycled Burgundy Caramel.

Furthermore, they have PETA accreditation, meaning they don’t use animal skins, and they work with Eden Projects to make possible reforestation projects worldwide. Check out their web site which has a counter showing how many trees have been planted so far. Two trees are planted for every pair of shoes sold.

Check out their really surrealistic English language (I think) video here:
