Feslalí, Alcalalí in bloom

Almond blossom in January and February is an integral part of Valencian scenery, with fields of pink and white adding a mystical touch to this magical land.

Fields full of flowering almond trees bid farewell to winter and welcome in the spring. A unique spectacle for the senses, because from the 1st to the 23rd of February the V edition of “Feslalí, Alcalalí in bloom” is celebrated, a complete program of activities related to landscape, agriculture, gastronomy, culture and sport.

First weekend – 1/2 feb.

Saturday 1st

12.00 h. Inauguration of the 5th Tapas Route with almonds, in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament. Tasting of tapas, savoury and sweet with almonds as the main ingredient, prepared by the bars, restaurants and shops, from February 1st to 23th.

13.00 h. “Globotada”

19.00 h. Start 5th Photographic Marathon #AlcalalíEnFlor. Info at www.feslali.com

Sunday 2nd

10.00 h. Hike among almond trees in bloom. Departure from the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

11.00 h. Wall mural on Ravalet Street

12.00 h. 4th Confection of pastries with almonds competition in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament. Info at www.feslali.com

18.00 h. End 5th Photographic Marathon #AlcalalíEnFlor

Second weekend – 1/2 feb.

Saturday 8th

10.00 h. Hike among almond trees in bloom. Route of 6 km, low difficulty, not suitable for baby buggies. Departure from the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

12.00 h. Theatrical “Xylella fastidiosa” demonstrating the problems faced. Departure from the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

10.00 h. Hike among almond trees in bloom. Departure from the Plaça de l’Ajuntament.

12.00 h. Gymkhana. Departure from the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

18.00 h. Theatre performed by the group “Valentes i Positives” all of whom have experienced cancer, with “El Balneari” and “Sopar de rei”, in Edifici Multiusos (C/ Xiprers, 1). Donation of 5€ Caminata Senderista Almendros en Flor

Third weekend – 14/16 feb.

Friday 14th

10 a 13 h. Joint programme from schools “Terra de Riuraus”

Saturday 15th

08.30 h. Hike “Penya de la Talaia”. Route of 13 km, medium-high difficulty. Departure from the Plaça de l’Ajuntament. Registrations until 13th February via email inscripcioruta@gmail.com

12.00 h. Seminar “Challenges and opportunities in Alcalali for 2020” at the Ethnological Museum (C/Porxe, 33)

Sunday 16th

10.00 h. Pet friendly hike among almond trees in bloom. Departure from the Plaça de l’Ajuntament

11.30 h Presentation of the book “Rebosteria de la Marina Alta” by Mancomunidad Cultural de la Marina Alta (MACMA)

12.00 h. Showcooking “Cuina amb ametla” by the chef Pep Romany, of the Restaurante Pont Sec of Dénia and the ice cream maker Óscar Palacios from Palacio Heladeros Artesanos of Pedreguer

13.00 h. Cooking workshop: sweets with Alcalalí almonds, aimed towards children, in the Plaça de l’Ajuntament.

Fourth weekend – 22/23 feb.
