Eros Recio Dances for ASPADIS
One person who has set an example to us all in overcoming adversity is Eros Recio, a professional ballet dancer, the only one in the world who has Down’s Syndrome.
Eros is from Valencia and performed at Valencia’s Palau de la Música on 26th December in an event whose proceeds went to ASPADIS, aValencian NGO that Works with Young mentally challenged people, and was founded by Vicente Aparicio in 1980.
Eros performed a work that reviews some of the works of Tchiakovsky, including Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and the Nutcracker Suite.
Under the name Son of Tchiakovsky, the works showed the abilities of Eros, who is only 21 and has already danced in New York and on Spanish TV.
Eros was accompanied by 15 dancers of the Home Dance Studio and by members of the Kojani Teatre.
