September 20th 2015 is another bike fest in Valencia as the city celebrates its Bicycle Day.
The cyclists set off from the tree lined Alameda Avenue and covered most of the city’s principal avenues plus the historic centre.
This year the money raised by peddlers contributed to UNICEF’s campaign to achieve vaccinations for children all over the world.
Each cyclist paid 1€ to participate, which is the equivalent of 2 vaccinations.
10,000 people participated, including a contingent of blind cyclists from the ONCE organization on tandems.
Each participant automatically participated in a raffle for 10 ‘BPro’ bikes.
