“Cultural Trip – Cervera del Maestre to Valencia”

A group exhibition of contemporary art

Sporting Club Russafa (Valencia.) 7 August to 28 August 2021

Sporting Club Russafa in collaboration with De Souza Gallery, is pleased to present an exhibition showcasing works of a selection of European artists that are based in both the area of Cervera del Maestre and Valencia City.

Works will be on exhibit at Sporting Club Russafa from 7th to 28th August.

This collaboration between the two galleries offers a truly cultural journey bringing artists of Spanish, German, French and British nationalities from Cervera del Maestre to the artistic hotspot of Russafa in Valencia, while offering a reciprocal opportunity for some international Valencia based artists to present their works at two exhibitions this summer in the hilltop coastal village of Cervera – already established as a go-to destination on the artist map.

Amongst the artists participating are Sonia Domenech, Marie Julou, J Kesín, Celia Kettle, Juan Petry, and Sibylle Werkmeister.

Their works convey a diverse selection of art styles, both figurative and abstract, and mediums including oil, acrylic, water colour as well as a social interactive sculpture.

Sporting Club Russafa was established in November 2003 as a non-profit Cultural Association. It focuses on different creative fields, from painting to dance, from architecture to literature, providing a vital cultural hub for the area.

De Souza Gallery aims to promote contemporary modern art of diverse styles and mediums with a particular focus on social and environmental issues, including the local community and habitat. It operates in partnership with the artist residence CASAdelDRAGON and the European art network EL-DRAC, established in 2007.
