Students of 1st and 3rd ESO at IES F. Ribalta, Castellón, had the opportunity of reading the book Treasure Island, by Stevenson, in front of an audience. The event was coordinated by “Amics de la Natura” and was held last 7th May 2015, during the World Book Day celebrations.
The aim was to inculcate reading habits among our students and to enjoy literature while having fun. Judging by the comments of the students, the objectives were achieved!
This activity was very entertaining. Although we were very nervous I think we enjoyed doing this activity. The funniest thing was when we wore pirate costumes (a pirate hat, a hook, a sword or a patch). We laughed doing this activity and all the students read very well. I would like to do this activity again because it has been a very good experience.

On 7th May, we went to Santa Clara Square to read a little bit about the book “Treasure Island”. Everyone read a paragraph .We were wearing costumes and the people who were buying books looked at us. This activity was a lot of fun and interesting. If I can repeat it next year, it will be fantastic!
