José Seco Leads a New Stage in the Success of the Autonomous Education Congress of the CSIF Union*

Last Thursday, June 27, the Autonomous Education Congress of the CSIF Union was held with great success, a crucial event for the educational sector of our community. The event will bring together numerous professionals in the educational field to analyze the achievements achieved and establish new goals for the future.

The congress began with the accreditation of the delegates. José Seco presents the Management Report of the Education Sector Manager, an exhaustive document that details the activities, achievements and challenges of the last four years. Seco offered a detailed overview of the current state of the sector, highlighting the steps necessary to continue improving educational conditions.

Ana Márquez, provincial president of CSIF, officially opened the congress with some warm words of welcome. Attendees participated in the Voting of the Management Report, demonstrating the union’s commitment to transparency and democratic participation.

One of the most emotional moments of the day was the tribute to Artemio Almonacid, former president of the union. This dedication and contribution to strengthening the organization was recognized with the screening of a video that recapitulates his achievements and the impact of his Leadership.

The day continued with the constitution of the Board and the presentation of candidates. José Seco defends his candidacy, followed by the casting of the votes of the delegates. The results were announced and, with great satisfaction, it was reported that the candidacy led by José Seco obtained 100% of the votes of the regional delegates. The president-elect addressed his primary words to the attendees, marking the beginning of a new stage for the union. In his speech, José Seco declared: “I deeply appreciate the trust placed in me. A period full of challenges awaits us, but I am convinced that, together, we will achieve significant progress to improve the education and working conditions of our teachers.”

The keynote lecture was given by Dr. Ismael Sanz Labrador, entitled “Educational Policies in Public Management: Challenges and Strategies for the 21st Century.” Dr. Sanz, renowned academic and expert in educational policies, offered an innovative and strategic perspective on the management of educational policies, enriching the vision of those present.

The congress concluded with a closing ceremony and farewell remarks by Mr. Rafa Cantó, regional president of CSIF, and Mr. José Antonio Rovira, Minister of Education. Mr. Rafa Cantó expressed: “This congress has been an invaluable opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to improving education. We have outlined a clear path towards a better future, where the working conditions of teachers and educational quality are our priority” . For his part, the Minister of Education Mr. José Antonio Rovira highlighted: “I thank the CSIF for this space for dialogue and reflection. Together, we will advance in the implementation of policies that will strengthen our educational system and benefit the entire educational community.”
