Anecoop Bodegas has won 11 new awards at the 2016 edition of Mundus Vini.
Gold medals went to Bodega La Viña (Juan de Juanes V. Plata Petit Verdot 2015, while silvers were racked up by Juan de Juanes V. Plata Tempranillo 2015; Juan de Juanes V. Bronce Blanco 2015 and 3inOne 2015, while L’Encert Espumoso Brut”, “VIDA Viña Tendida Moscato Bianco” and “Viña Cecilia Moscato Bianco”, from Bodegas Reymos also received prizes.
The prizes were awarded by a jury of 150 wine experts from 38 countries, selecting from among 4,300 entries.
Valencian wine also did well in Germany in 2015, with excellent results at the two major wine fairs, the Berliner Wein Trophy and Mundus Vini.
Murviedro achieved nine medals, while Anecoop earned five at Berliner, and at Mundus Vini Anecoop captured eight and Murviedo four.
The key players were Venta del Puerto Nº 12 and Venta del Puerto Nº 18, followed by Cepas Viejas Bobal and Vox Populi.
Other Valencian companies on the medals list were Unión Vinícola del Este with two for Vega Medien Brut and Vega Medien Brut Eco, as well as Bocopa with Marina Alta and De Moya with Sofia Bobal.
Further Valencian vineyards with prizes were Enotec for Valtier Crianza and Val Conde Gran Reserva, and Torre Oria with its Gran Reserva red and Diva Vinos for La Peña Red as well as Vicente Gandia with Castillo de Lliria Crianza.
