The Valencian wine making cooperative Anecoop Bodegas triumphed at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, which was held in May 2015, as you might expect, in Jesolo, Italy.
5 of their wines obtained the much sought after Gold Medal. The triumphant wines were Reymos Classic, Casa L´Àngel Tinto 2014, Venta del Puerto Nº 18 2010, Hacienda de Lluna Merlot 2014 and Hacienda de Lluna Cabernet Sauvignon 2014.
Another 8 Anecoop wines obtained Silver Medals:
Viña Negra Reserva 2011, Castillo de Anna Reserva 201, Tirant lo Blanch Vendimia Oro 2012, Juan de Juanes Vendimia Bronce Tinto 201, Juan de Juanes Vendimia Plata Tempranillo 2013, Don Pelayo Reserva 2009, Venta del Puerto Nº 12 2011 and Hacienda de Lluna Syrah 2014.
The jury for the competition consisted of 300 professionals from 50 countries, and took place over three days with more than 8,000 wines from all over the world being tasted and, sadly, spat out for the most part.
Anecoop Bodegas started producing wine in 1986 and currently exports to 42 countries.
The vineyard similarly triumphed at the Shanghai International Wine Challenge, with its Venta del Puerto Number 12 wine obtaining a Gold Medal.
