Two Valencian architects, Carla Herranz and Carla Garzó won the 2016 Rethinking Competition, an international competition encouraging architects to reinvent themselves and think outside the box.
The challenge was to climb in a forest using an architectural structure, and the prize was 3,000 euros, both of which they achieved.
Their architectural answer was Blub! a transparent sphere full of helium in which one person could sit and float among the giant redwood trees of California’s Sequoia National Park.
Both architects have studied in the Architecture school at Valencia’s Polytechnic University (UPV).
