Valencia, California: Same Difference

Four Valencian organisations have collaborated to celebrate a festival of Spanish music on 11th and 12th of September 2015 at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, where rock documentaries and live music will combine to deliver Rock&Doc,

Absolute Beginners and Boiling Brain are based in Valencia, while Quixote (founded by Valencian Guillermo Escalona) and 700g have joined forces under the collective name Laboratorio Cultural Ultramarino to create the first Festival Latino de Documentales Musicales.

Among the docs on show will be ‘The extraordinary ordinary life of José González’, ‘Salicomanía’, ‘Vega: Tu voz entre otras mil’ and ‘Paco de Lucía: La búsqueda’.
Bands such as Sonsoles, Dirty Cali, Vispera and LABrownies, specializing in Latin American music, will contribute the live performances.
