Personally I would think twice about consulting a rubber tyre manufacturer before choosing a restaurant, and yet thousands or even millions consult the Michelin Guide, and their stars are much sought after by chefs all around the world.
But there’s no need to go all around the world to find a Michelin restaurant; the Valencia Community now has 20, including three new ones obtained in the latest awards in November 2017.
The new kids on the chopping block are Nazario Cano, from Rodat (Xàbia); Rafa Soler, of Audrey’s (Calpe), and Miguel Ángel Mayor, chef at Sucede (Valencia).
The complete list is Quique Dacosta (Dénia) | L’Escaleta (Cocentaina) | BonAmb (Xàbia) | El Rodat (Xàbia) | Audrey’s (Calpe) | La Finca (Elche) | Casa Pepa (Ondara) | Monastrell (Alicante)
Ricard Camarena (Valencia) | El Poblet (Valencia) | El Riff (Valencia) | Sucede (Valencia) | Casa Manolo (Daimús) | Sents (Ontinyent) | and La Sucursal (Valencia9, which is temporarily closed as it is relocating. And in Castellón, Cal Paradis (Vall d’Alba) | Raúl Resino (Benicarló).
