Made in Valencia Cartoon is the Winner

The cartoon by director Salvador Simó, ‘Buñuel en el laberinto de las tortugas’, has been awarded the European Film Awards 2019 prize for Animated Feature Film.

The cartoon was developed at the Hampa Studio, in Valencia, and tells the story of surrealist filmmaker Luis Buñuel, who after the release of his film L’Age d’Or breaks with collaborator Salvador Dalí. A lottery ticket win leads to the filming of the documentary Las Hurdes: Land Without Bread, when Buñuel must confront his own demons, and a turtle or two.
