Jijonenca is an icon for those who like their ice cream made in the traditional manner, and is also an icon for those who cannot resist turron at Christmas time.
The company is celebrating 50 years of silencing screaming children, and one or two sulky adults, launching its range for the summer of 2018.
The big ones this summer are Three Chocolates, for those who never have enough with just one, Lemon & Lime, Raspberry sorbet and the tantalisingly entitled Chocoballs.
Founded in Jijona, in the province of Alicante, where almond trees abound, the company has a second plant in Catalonia.
