Puca Óg – Irish folk concert at Max Max Valencia, 14 October 2017
Max Max Valencia (Vinalopó 11, 46021 Valencia) is a favourite venue for Irish music sessions and concerts. On 14 October 2017 Max Max hosted a concert by Puca Óg, a Madrid based folk band, bringing a varied programme of songs and tunes from the British Isles.
Puca Óg have a leaning towards Irish material and sing songs of love and war, sentimental ballads, songs of rebellion and historical disasters as well as songs in praise of food, drink and the good life. The songs are spiced with dance tunes: jigs, reels and hornpipes from the Celtic tradition. The band is made up of members from Ireland (North and South), England and Spain and, on this occasion, Puca Óg were joined by guest artists from London and Ankara.

Puca Óg are no strangers to Valencia, having performed at the Botanic Garden in March 2005 with the East Suffolk Morris Men and at Max Max Valencia in May 2016.
