30 students from IES Veles e Vents school from Torrent visited the L’Iber museum on 17th December 2014 to participate in Valencia International’s Hollywood and History collaboration, sponsored by Banco Sabadell.
After a tour of the museum in English, the group saw extracts from the film El Cid, discovered the locations in Spain where the film was made, realised that Peñiscola is not quite Valencia, and that Hollywood’s version of history, and just about everything else, is often far from the truth.
The group was accompanied by two English teachers Ana María Martí, Amparo Quetglas and history teacher Fani Hernández, demonstrating that CLIL is alive and well in Valencia, even if El Cid is not!
