From Alcoy to Toronto
Two Valencian film makers from Alcoy are the only Spanish representatives at the T.O. Web Fest
Rubia en apuros by Cristina Gómez and Desenterrados, by Xavi Cortés, will be shown in Canada at a festival designed to nurture emerging talent in the web series sector, and whose third edition will take place between 27 and 29 of May 2016.
Xavi Cortés has already had some international success with his web series, as the French public TV channel France 4 bought the rights to broadcast the work after viewing it at the Marseilles film festival.
‘Unearthed’, as it is translated into English, has also been nominated by the festival organizers for one of the awards, and is described in the programme as “a series that you can follow on-line. The webseries present a first season consisting of 5 episodes. Uncover episode by episode the secrets and mysteries of this psychological thriller”.
