Victor Santos Triumphs in Japan

Víctor Santos Montesinos is one of the world’s top comic artists (comic in the drawing not the laughing sense).

He studied at the Polytechnic Fine Arts Faculty and soon started making a name for himself and winning prizes.

In 2002 he won the Josep Toutain a l’Autor Revelació prize at the Barcelona International Comics Convention, and thereafter started collaborating with American and other international comic producers such as Image, DC Comics and IDW Publishing, publishing works such as Filthy Rich (Vertigo), Mice Templar: Destiny (Image) and Demon Cleaner (Antarctic Press), IDW Publishing (Witch & Wizard and Godzila: Kingdom of Monsters), Dark Horse Comics (Furious, Dark Horse Present and Polar, Wild Rover).

He is possibly best known in Spain for the comic series Los Reyes Elfos and the noir comic series Pulp Héroes.

Santos, who was born in Torrent, Valencia in 1977, broke into the challenging Japanese market in 2019 with the publication of Pandora´s sight WIP, a 28 page story based on Osamu Tezuka´s work MW, published in issue 14 of the Japanese magazine TezuComi,

This will probably mean something to comic maniacs, but as I’m not one of them I can only congratulate Victor on his achievements.
