dotGIS: Up on the Roof
The Valencian start-up dotGIS has provided the answer to that age old question about whether your home could produce enough solar energy to make installation worthwhile.
The tools developed by the company will tell you where to install the panels, and how much energy they will produce for you.
The tool is called SolarMap, and allows you to consult the potential of your rooftop to generate photovoltaic energy, design an installation and calculate the savings that could be obtained.
The company, with 11 employees, has also been collecting awards and recognition since its foundation in 2016, and for example was a finalist at the 2017 Global Week of Green Business and the Climate Movement, a United Nations Project that included 39 cities in 23 countries, and which took place in Bonn, Germany in December 2017.
