Although they don’t use the term Cava, Bocopa produce a series of sparkling wines at their vineyards near Elda in the province of Alicante.
They have been making quality wines since 1987, among them a favourite in hundreds of restaurants, a high quality reasonably priced wine: Marina Alta.
Their red sparkling wine comes from a selection of Monastrell grapes, producing a wine that goes well with tapas, rice dishes, fish, sushi, meat, fruits and desserts.
Its cherry red colour and aromas, which reminds us of sour cherry, blackberry, cherry and red fruits, correspond to a wine that is well structured, mineral and fruity.
Their white sparkling wine is made from a selection of grape varieties: Chardonnay, Merseguera and Macabeo, and undergoes natural fermentation
This wine stands out for its freshness and notes of apple, pineapple and white flowers.
It makes an excellent accompaniment to a snack and is also the perfect partner for tapas, rice, seafood, white meats and fruits.
The rosé is a made from a selection of 100% Monastrell grapes, having a small bubble, lightweight and fast, which gives a different and refreshing sparkling wine.
It goes well with tapas, rice, fish, shellfish, white meats, fruits, pastries and sushi.
The aromas abound with fresh fruit with hints of cherry, rose petals and red berries.
The Marina Spumante has a very pale colour, crystalline and brilliant, and at 7 degrees, a low alcohol content.
It is made with Muscatel grapes and is suggestive of citrus and tropical fruits.
