Anecoop’s Coups

The Valencian wine making co-operative Anecoop continues to win awards and spread the word in the world, that Spanish wine doesn’t begin and end in La Rioja.

At the 2020 October Asia Wein Trophy, Anecoop Bodegas received four gold and three silver medals.

In September 2020 the company won 59 medals; 15 gold and 44 silver,  at the Berliner Wine Trophy and AWC Vienna events.

The Valencian wine maker Anecoop scored another international victory at the 27th Concours Mundial de Bruxelles 2020, held from 4 to 6 September 2020 in Brno, Czech Republic.

Anecoop was awarded 1 Grand Gold, 6 Gold and 11 Silver medals

The Grand Gold was for La Cova Negra, a wine from La Viña (La Font de la Figuera).

In the summer of 2019 the Valencia co-operative Anecoop brought home gold from the wine fairs of Asia Wein Trophy, Mundus Vini, AWC Vienna and Decanter Asia.

24 golds and 48 silver were the loot with victorious wines from Bodega La Viña (La Font de la Figuera) and Bodegas Reymos (Cheste).

The Asia Wine Trophy, gave 14 golds and 5 silver in Korea in August, while the 25th Mundus Vini fair in Germany saw Anecoop obtain 5 golds and 15 silver.

At the AWC Vienna 2019, Anecoop Bodegas won 5 gold and 27 silver while the Decanter Asia Wine Awards, of Hong Kong, brought a gold for Castillo de Montroy Crianza, 2016, from Bodega La Viña.

Also in the summer of 2019 the company was triumphant at the Berliner Wine Trophy, with gold medals for their Valencian wines Amatista Moscato Blanco from Bodegas Reymos; Casa L´Àngel Syrah, 2017; Cernigo Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018; Palacio del Conde Gran Reserva, 2012; Casa L´Àngel Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018 and Finca Tallada Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018 from Bodega La Viña.

In May 2019 two of their Valencian wines won gold medals at the Portugal Wein Trophy, where 69 experts tasted 2,100 wines from 29 countries.

The golds were for Casa L´Àngel Chardonnay, 2018 and Ola Caracola, from Vinos de la Viña (La Font de la Figuera) and Bodegas Reymos (Cheste), respectively.

In April 2019 the group won 4 gold medals and 11 silvers at the Lyon International Competition.

The golds went to Venta del Puerto Nº12, 2016 from Bodega La Viña (La Font de la Figuera – D.O.P. Valencia) and Reymos Selección by Bodegas Reymos (Cheste – D.O.P. Valencia))

At the 23rd summer edition of the Mundus Vini held in Germany, Bodega La Viña and Bodegas Reymos, obtained 4 gold and 8 silver medals together with a Navarra affiliate.

The Asia Wine Trophy gave 8 golds to Anecoop Bodegas, while the Berliner Wein Trophy, gave 13 gold and 3 silver.

In August 2018 they were awarded a gold medal at the Gilbert & Galliard Challenge for their Los Escribanos wine, made with Monastrell and Garnacha grapes.

At the 25th edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held in Beijing in May 2018, Anecoop won gold medals for the following wines: Venta del Puerto Nº 12 2015, Juan de Juanes Vendimia Oro Tinto 2015, Hacienda de Lluna Syrah 2017 and Castillo de Catadau Crianza 2015, all from the Vinos de la Viña vineyard from Font de la Figuera.

Bringing it all back home to the definitive French wine-making area of Bordeaux, Anecoop achieved three more gold medals in April 2018 for its wines Bodega la Viña: Venta del Puerto Nº 12 and Cellar Door Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc 2017 as well as Reymos Brut, from Bodegas Reymos.

More gold medals for Anecoop at the 22nd Mundus Vini wine festival held at Neustadt, Germany during February 2018, where 270 experts from 44 countries gathered to judge 6,700 wines.

Gold medals were awarded to Venta del Puerto Nº 18 Tinto 2013, Juan de Juanes Vendimia Oro Tinto 2015, from Bodega La Viña (La Font de la Figuera).

At the 24th Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held in Valladolid in May 2017, with a jury of 320 journalists, buyers, eonologists and somelliers, 9,000 wines from 50 countries participated.

Gold medals forAnecoop Bodegas were won by Bodega La Viña (La Font de la Figuera): Juan de Juanes Vendimia Bronce Blanco 2016 and Alquería de Lluna Blanco 2016.

At the Berliner Wein Trophy the Valencian ‘Chateau’ received three Gold Medals for their Valencian wines: “Venta del Puerto Nº 18 2012,”  “Juan de Juanes Vendimia Bronce Tinto 2016,”  and  “Amatista Moscato Frizzante Blanco.”

Anecoop also achieved seven gold and eleven silver medals in the Mundus Vini 2016 wine fair in Nuremberg, Germany.

The winning wines came from the vines of Bodega La Viña and Bodegas Reymos, from D.O.P. Valencia, and the winners included gold medalists: Castillo de Anna Gran Reserva, Venta del Puerto Nº 18, Juan de Juanes Vendimia Plata Tempranillo, Palacio del Conde Gran Reserva, Reymos Selección, Reymos Brut and Castillo de Tafalla Tinto Garnacha.

Three wines also wons prizes in the Wine in Box section; they were Sequiot Tinto, Icono Cabernet Sauvignon and Marqués de las Cuevas, from La Viña de La Font de la Figuera.

The Concours International Wine in Box is celebrated in France and awards prizes to wines Bag-in-Box, a celebration of packaging.
