Eating plastic is not something most people find attractive, and yet today, if you throw plastic away irresponsibly, you may very well end up esting it in a fish.
Fortunately, Hernán Hernández and Marta Maneja, the founders of Gloop, are not asking you to eat the plastic spoon when you finsih your ice cream; instead they have produced edible cutlery, so that nothing gets wasted.
The idea apparently came to them while travelling round India, and after some research they launched Gloop, aimed largely at the ice cream market, although the fast food market also offers opportunities to slow down the planet’s demise.
The first products are already on the market, with chocolate and oats as the basic flavours
