Once again the Valencian wine maker Anecoop has captivated the hearts of Japanese women at 5th edition, 2019, of the Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards, with two gold medals and three silver.
The golds went to Cova Santa 2017, from Bodega Vinos de la Viña (La Font de la Figuera), and the sparkling moscatel Reymos V.O. from Bodegas Reymos (Cheste). The silvers were for another moscatel Amatista Blanco, also from Bodegas Reymos, and two reds, Aroma de Corazón 2017 and Juan de Juanes Vendimia Plata Petit Verdot 2017, both from Vinos de la Viña.
The Valencian wine producer Anecoop Bodegas also walked away from this wine festival in February 2017 with a very rewarding ‘sayonara.’
It was the third year of a wine festival in a country with enormous potential for foreign exporters, and Anecoop achieved gold medals for its Reymos and Aroma de Corazón wines.
The jury, consisting exclusively of women, had to choose from 4,212 wines from 37 countries
Aroma de Corazón is a sweet wine, with 100% Garnacha Tintorera grapes, whereas Reymos is a sparkling Moscatel.
