Purple Clarity, by Cuidum

David Vidal Andrés has seen Alzheimer’s disease close at hand, with various members of his family affected by it.

As a consequence of his personal experiences he decided to look for a way to help the communication between Alzheimer sufferers and their relatives and carers.

Often that communication is offensive, because the sufferers don’t really know what’s happening to them and are often the victims of delusions, hallucinations and aggressive reactions that cause friction with the people around them.

Through his company Cuidum he developed ‘Purple’, a translator to help bridge the gap, and the only one existing in the world at present. The translator converts aggressive messages and accusations into more palatable statements that focus on the cause of the bad feeling, the disease.

David’s company Cuidum provides carers for dependent people.
