MAR I JAZZ WILL HOLD ITS FOURTH EDITION FROM 17 TO 19 SEPTEMBER

  • Mar i Jazz brings music, culture, leisure and gastronomy to all audiences
  • Due to changes resulting from COVID-19, the festival transfers its usual date of June to September in an open-air event in Cabanyal.
This year Mar i Jazz celebrates its fourth edition (suspended in 2020 due to COVID-19) and moves to September to bid farewell to the summer festival season. From 17 to 19 September, Dr. Lluch Park will be the stage for concerts featuring the best of the national and international jazz scene. There will also be a gastronomic area, a children’s area and a craft market.
  • This is ironic as Doctor Lluch became famous fighting one of Valencia’s cholera outbreaks many decades ago.

El Cabanyal, one of the most charming neighbourhoods in Valencia, will shine once again with the musical and leisure offer that has consolidated the Mar i Jazz festival since 2016. People of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest, will find in the festival a full programme and a safe space governed by the established protocols in force.
Since its inception, Mar i Jazz has become a showcase for Valencian and national jazz with prestigious artists and young promises, hence the close collaboration with one of the most renowned jazz schools in our country, Sedajazz. In this 2021 edition, the festival goes a step further and will feature renowned international artists. Two daily concerts will delight all those who want to enjoy music and leisure by the sea.
  • In addition, children will have their own Kinderland space, where they will be able to participate in culture, leisure and learning through activities and concerts designed for them.

  • Another of the festival’s attractions is the gastronomic area where visitors will be able to sample the flavours of the neighbourhood and the most innovative tapas of the new cabanyal cuisine.
And, finally, there will also be an exhibition of artisans with the Craft Market with artists of different styles who will sell their 100% handmade products.
Day tickets and season tickets for the whole weekend will be on sale soon on the festival website (https://www.marijazz.es/).
Mar i Jazz was born out of the jazz jam sessions in the Cabanyal, Jazzomingo, in the charming bar “27 Amigos”, out of the need to offer music, leisure and culture in an open space. It is organised by 27 Amigos Event with the collaboration of the Association of Traders and Professionals of the Marítimo (ACIPMAR), Valencia City Council and Sedajazz.
