Viccarbe: Sweetening Design

Although designer Víctor Carrasco has focused more on furniture design in the past, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t take a little time off to design a chocolate bar; especially if the consumers in question are the sweet-toothed Japanese!

The Japanese subsidiary of the Belgian chocolate manufacturer GODIVA Japan has launched its new chocolate ‘GODIVA The Tablet’, and the packaging is made in Valencia by the Beniparrell-based company Viccarbe, brain child of UPV industrial design graduate Carrasco.

This new chocolate tablet and package, designed by Victor Carrasco, founder of Viccarbe is available in two flavours: ‘Dark Chocolate Ganache’ and ‘Milk Chocolate Praline’ with nuts.

On their web site, Victor emphasises the shining influence of the 300 days of Valencian sun on his work:

“This light has a great influence on our feeling for colours, warmth of materials and attention to detail; our sense of humour and the way we look after our friends is what make us different.”
