Valencian Brains Head for San Francisco

Alejandro Calero Agut, a young inventor from Castellón, Valencia, is off to Silicon Valley thanks to his innovatory system for controlling the pedal on an electric guitar from a distance.

He is one of 53 innovators who has been invited to California as part of the ‘Explorer’ programme, as the Americans try to poach all the best scientists from the rest of the world.

The project was chosen as the best idea for the 2018 edition of the programme at the Universitat Jaume I Explorer Space, in which 23 entrepreneurs participated.

Alejandro’s agenda in San Fran will consist of masterclasses at universities such as Stanford or Berkeley, contact with investors and visits to leading technology companies such as Google, Facebook, LinkedIn or Airbnb.

This will not be his first experience abroad, as Alejandro has already participated in product development in Gothenburg, Sweden.
