Summer Camps in the Outdoors

Caxton College organises a range of camps in the month of July for children aged 1 to 18 in an international environment with natural surroundings conducive to learning languages, forging new friendships and participating in outdoor sport activities.

English or Spanish

The star of the school’s summer programmes is the English or Spanish Camp. With more than thirty years of experience, these linguistic immersion camps, taught by native and bilingual teachers, are aimed at pupils who really want to learn and improve their English or Spanish whilst enjoying themselves. For one month, children have experiences that are both fun and educational, where the chosen language is at the centre of their daily routine and they can learn progressively. In addition to three hours of language lessons every day, the children also have a refreshing dip in the pool, educational and sport workshops and themed weeks.

Those pupils who already have a high level of English and enjoy Art and Science can attend Discovery Camp, a programme where they can develop their creativity and imagination through artistic and scientific workshops, carrying out amazing and exciting experiments.

Sport

Again this summer, sport will be the focus throughout Caxton College’s spacious facilities. Sport Camp will offer the option of practising tennis, football or basketball with the school’s Sport Club coaches. Throughout each day, and in addition to two and a half hours of training sessions, all of this camp’s participants will enjoy sport competitions, educational workshops and time to cool off in the pool. Another sport camp option for any children who would like to practise swimming at a high level is the five-day intensive Swimming Camp.

Continuing with sport options, for the first time this year Caxton College will additionally offer a Pyrenees Sport Camp for children to be able to train for eight days in their chosen sport: football, tennis or basketball, in beautiful Jaca, surrounded by nature.

An important aspect to consider is that healthy and balanced lunch menus, entirely prepared in the on-site kitchen, are served every day in all of the summer camps held at the British school’s facilities in Puçol.

Other Languages

Pupils who prefer to progress in their French or German language skills may opt for the Challenge Camp, where for two weeks they can immerse themselves in the language through teaching methods based on play. As with the other camps, a daily dip in the pool is just one element of the fun activities they enjoy each day.
