Celebrating U becomes a reality!

Personalized service, delicious clothing with fine prints and Nordic trends as well as “the little extra” are the keywords behind the first Celebrating U store to open in Valencia on November 27, 2019.

“Someone in my network introduced me to the Vila concept and then started a major research of my opportunities to open shop in Spain. The fact that it became Valencia is not entirely coincidental, having been there a number of times with my family as well as for business purposes, there was no doubt. Here were the opportunities and the breeding ground for a shop.”

Janne is from Vejle in Denmark and has opened a branch of Vila, a Scandinavian fashion brand, in Valencia, the 10th of its kind in Spain, but with her own personal contribution, known as Celebrating U.

“The road to this has not been without obstacles. Opening a store and starting on your own is a big decision. At the same time, it was a different country and culture. The rules for starting a business were also not the same as in Denmark and of course there was also a language barrier. In spite of all this, people have been wonderfully sweet and welcoming, and the network that I now have in Valencia is completely irreplaceable.”
