ANECOOP DONATES 7,500 KILOS OF FRUIT IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 CRISIS

Cáritas, Casa Caridad and other entities from different provinces that help underprivileged people, will receive citrus and other fruits
Anecoop and its member cooperatives and companies are responding to the coronavirus crisis which is affecting the most vulnerable in particular by donating 7,500 kilos of fruit to various charities in the provinces of Murcia, Almeria, Castellon, Valencia and Alicante as well as to the hospital which has been set up in IFEMA Madrid to treat those affected by COVID-19.
On behalf of the organisation, Anecoop’s Managing Director, Joan Mir, wanted to send a message of encouragement to all citizens and especially to those who are most affected by this pandemic: “With this shipment we want to inform everyone that the agri-food sector is doubling its efforts in these difficult days to continue feeding society, including those people who are most affected by this crisis such as the sick, healthcare personnel and the most vulnerable social groups”.
