Once again, as Christmas approaches, we remind all you locavores that Valencian vineyards produce excellent cavas.
So you’re probably wondering which is the best Valencian cava. Well, according to PROAVA, the Valencian gastronomy promotional entity, the answer is, Adriano Cava, produced by Eloy Haya.
This award winning cava, – Silver Medal Catavinum 2017 – Silver Medal Catavinum 2018 – Best Valencian Cava 2017-2018, shows a lovely bouquet of ripe apple, plush tropical fruit and the yeasty appeal of fresh-baked bread.
The palate reveals a continuation of fresh-fruit themes, centred around green apple, d’Anjou pear, quince and lemon-lime citrus. Crisp and clean, this Cava kicks out a memorable finish lined with suggestions of key lime pie.
It combines Macabeo and Chardonnay grapes.
