Violinists from Lithuania, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Italy, France, Argentina and Russia converged on Cullera from 14th to 19th September 2020.
This was the second edition of CullerArts, held in the auditorio municipal de música.
Judging the finalists was a jury including Mikhail Pochekin, prize-winner at the International Jascha Heifetz Competition (Vilnius, 2009, 2nd prize and Special Prize), the International Rodolfo Lipizer Competition (Gorizia, 2008, 3rd prize and Special Prize), the International Andrea Postacchini Competition (Fermo, 2007, 1st prize and the International Pablo Saraste Competition (Pamplona, 2009, 3rd prize and Audience Award).
The highlight was on the 19th, when the last three finalists competed with works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn or Mozart.
The winner was Jevgenijs Cepoveckis from Latvia.
